Sea Sway

Sea Sway was the result of my desire to knit a massive asymmetrical shawl that was completely reversible but didn't include garter stitch as a main component. Since I had requests for a written pattern, I decided to write one that is completely customizable and can be knit with any weight yarn, needle size, or gauge.

I tend to see patterns not as rule of law but rather as “recipes” that are meant to be altered, so this is a “choose your own adventure” type of knit. The shawl design is inherently flexible and open to many interpretations; it allows for the freedom to ‘just knit’ and is a perfect project to work on while traveling, watching TV, or simply zoning out at the end of a stressful day.

Sample was made with 920 yards of sport weight yarn (Cascade Venezia Sport, 70% wool 30% silk) on US 7 / 4.5mm needles.
