Scrapbuster Scrunchie

If your yarn stash is out of control and you don’t quite know what to do with all those mini skeins and leftovers, the Scrapbuster Scrunchie pattern is here to help. Using as little as 5 grams of 4-ply/fingering weight, you can whip up a cute hair accessory to match any outfit or occasion – and use every last ounce of your precious yarn in the process.

Sizes: S (M, L).

Construction: knitted as a tube, using magic loop technique or double pointed needles, then seamed together at end.

Knitted circumference (when stretched): 8 (10, 12) inches/20 (25, 30) cm.

Suggested yarn amounts:

S: 4-ply/fingering weight yarn, approx. 5 grams/22 m.

M: 4-ply/fingering weight yarn held double or equivalent, approx. 10 grams/45m.

L: chunky weight yarn or equivalent, approx. 20 grams/30m.

Suggested needle size: Pattern samples were knitted on 2 (3.75, 5) mm circular needles using the magic loop technique. Double pointed needles can be used instead.
