This beginner-friendly, easy scarf shawl reminds me of patterns in the sand that I saw on a walk a while back. They had been caused by the sea and looked like waves!
3 sizes means it's great for family and friends. The simple stitch pattern can be added to with stripy, variegated yarns etc.,- how about a sparkly scarf or shawl for an aspiring princess? I have used alpaca rich yarn, but acrylic also knits up well, and is cheaper! (Paintbox Simply Chunky or Stylecraft Special Chunky.)
Skills needed - cast/bind on/off, knit, and yarn forward. Includes a set of detailed instructions with photos for beginners, and a basic set without photos for everyone else. In English with British/US terms.
Knitted in the same way as an asymmetrical scarf or shawl, the end result is virtually a triangle. A great first scarf shawl to knit for those new to knitting.
