Rose Mitts, Cowl & Hot water bottle cover

This is my Cath Kidston inspired fingerless mitts pattern. I wanted to design a granny square based mittens pattern that looked like the Cath Kidston roses.

These mitts are a relatively quick and easy make, using SC, HDC, DC stitches. It also uses front and back post stitches.

The pattern uses less than 26g of each of the colours. I used Stylecraft Special DK yarn which is a acrylic 8ply yarn.

Each square measures 5cmx5cm.

10.01.21. I have added an additional pattern to match the mitts - the rose hot water bottle cover. This cover fits a 1 litre hot water bottle and is made in the same way as the mitts only using a 4mm hook.

There is also a separate pattern to make a matching cowl.
