Republican elephant logo pot holder

This is an original pattern for a colourful crocheted double thickness potholder with the instantly recognizable Republicans' logo of an elephant on the front. The reverse is plain red, and both thicknesses are joined by a double row of crochet in blue and white with attractive braid effect in red.

This pattern is ideal for both beginners and more advanced crocheters, as I have included instructions on all stitches used, together with a detailed description on how to complete your potholder. The stitches used are slip stitch, single crochet and double crochet. Two crochet needles are needed, a 4mm and a 3mm.

I have recommended 100% cotton yarn, making it safe to stand warm dishes on, and to protect your hands from burns. Measures 8.75" x 8" (22cm x 20cm)) plus the hanging loop at the top.
