Reading Mitten

I can't think of a time since I was 6 years that I wasn't reading at least one book. So if you're never without a book or need a gift for a book lover this mitten will keep your hands warm when it's cold outside but never to cold to read.

The pattern gives you the option of stranded knitting the motive or doing it in duplicate stitch. The motive is given as a colourwork chart. If you use duplicate stitch you need around 1 yard (1m) per book, a good way to use up scraps.

Finished Measurements: Women S, M, L (6, 7, 8 inches / 15, 18, 20 cm hand circumstances)

Yardage:

• 180 yards (160m) main colour for the mitten
• 3 yards (3m) in a brown colour for the shelf
• 1 yard (1m) per colour for the books
