Product Description
The Rae Lynn wrap is a quick 2 skein project. It’s a combination of a triangle and infinity scarf! That way you don’t have to worry about what to do with your ends. Just double wrap it around your neck and voila!
This is an intermediate pattern but if you are a confident beginner, there are extra links to help you through the tricky parts.
Its knit as a top down triangle first and then a back panel is added and finally grafted to the other side.
Techniques used include a garter tab cast on, intartisa color changes, tubular bind off, short rows and kitchener stitch.
Please note, you will need two balls of each color, 4 total, of the suggested Lang Yarns Merino 120.

What is Being Made
The Rae Lynn Wrap is a hybrid scarf design that combines the structure of a triangle scarf with the versatility of an infinity scarf. This innovative garment is designed to be easy to wear and enjoyable to knit, making it an excellent project for crafters looking for a practical accessory with interesting construction.
Craft and Primary Technique
This pattern is designed for knitting, making it ideal for those working with needles rather than hooks. The project is rated as intermediate difficulty, indicating it requires some foundational knitting knowledge but remains accessible to knitters beyond the absolute beginner level.
Stitches Used
The Rae Lynn Wrap utilizes fundamental knitting stitches to create its structure:
- Knit (K) - The basic knit stitch forms the primary fabric
- Purl (P) - Purl stitches are incorporated into the stitch pattern
- Slip Stitch (S1) - Slipped stitches worked purlwise are used, typically held with yarn in front of the work unless otherwise directed in the pattern instructions
- Yarn in Back (YIB) - Yarn positioning technique used with slipped stitches
Materials and Yarn Specifications
This wrap is worked in DK weight yarn, a medium-weight yarn that creates a fabric with good drape and structure. The pattern requires approximately 469 total yards of yarn distributed across two colors:
- Approximately 237 yards in Color 1 (Hydra)
- Approximately 232 yards in Color 2 (Flower Garden)
The pattern specifies Family First Fibres DK weight yarn or similar yarn of comparable weight. Knitters will need size #3 knitting needles appropriate for DK weight yarn to achieve proper gauge and fabric characteristics.
