Puppy Love Cowl

Yarn: Any yarn suitable for needles 5-6mm

Samples : Alpaca wool (95% Alpaca, 5% Polyester) 1 x 100 gr skein of each colour

Needles: 4.5mm

Notions: Stitchmarkers needle

Gauge: Stockinette Stitch (10cm=16 stitches & 14 rows)

I am a tight knitter and like to see tight stitches, so I purposefully chose knitting needles smaller than the needles recommended by the yarn manufacturer. This gives more definition to the pattern and helps keep the design tidy. The samples both have stranded floats (both edges of the ribbing) and interwoven floats at the back as I prefer a tidy back. Not having long floats at the back will help the cowl keep its shape. The whole cowl is knitted in the round.
