Proserpine is a half-circle shawl designed to showcase a stunning 4-ply yarn. Knitted mostly in easy stocking stitch, the shawl has small, yet beautiful lace sections that cleverly hide the increases. It is surprisingly easy to knit, yet looks complex.
Proserpine was inspired by 19th century artist and poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti and his paintings of ancient myths - including one showing Proserpine, the Roman Goddess of Spring.
