Preston - Child’s cable and rice stitch jumper

This child’s 8ply/DK, crew neck, set-in sleeve jumper is worked in cables and rice stitch. While I have elected to use two colours, it can be worked in just one if you prefer.

Pattern sizes: 2 (4-6-8) years.

To fit chest: 55 (60-65-70) cm [21¾ (23½-25½-27½) ins].

Actual measurement: 63 (69-74-79) cm [25 (27-29-31) ins].

Length: 40 (44-48-52) cm [15¾ (17¼-19-20½) ins].

Yarn required: 4 Seasons Marvel 8ply, 100g balls@270m.

2 balls 1st Colour (light blue)

2 balls 2nd Colour (royal blue)

Needles required: A pair of 4.00mm [UK 8, US 6] knitting needles.

A 4.00mm [UK 8, US 6] circular knitting needle.

Wool needle for sewing up.

Other requirements: A cable needle; 2 stitch holders.

Tension: 22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 4.00mm needles.
