This set is designed for fingering-weight baby wool or cotton, providing a light-weight garment for everyday wear. The sweater is worked top down in one piece. The button band is worked at the same time as the body. The upper body is knit back and forth on a circular needle. The sleeves are worked in the round. The cap is knit bottom-up in the round. The "hearts" motif is embroidered afterwards in cross-stitch around the cap. The lace, panels, rib borders, and "hearts" motif are charted and written out, and a schematic is included for sizing.
