Pirl Hat

A pirl is a Scots word for a gentle ripple in a pond and the Pirl Hat is a cosy colourwork hat with a pattern that gently ripples from one colour to another! This is a quick knit and perfect for using up leftover balls of yarn. Combine it with the matching cowl to stay warm this winter! The Pirl Hat has 5 sizes to choose from with guidance on adjusting the length included in the pattern.

The pattern is fully written with a chart for the colourwork pattern and also includes a photo tutorial for a super stretchy cast on called the Estonian Cast-On for the bottom of the glove and the backward loop cast-on. The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted. There’s a screenshot of the pattern, and a list of the stitches used at the bottom of the photos.
