Product Description
In the corseted days of yesteryear, bloomers and bicycles meant freedom for the sensible woman-about-town. Parisian Delight is a tribute to those first women to shed their skirts and hop on two wheels. It's a playful feminine garment, perfect for indulging in your own shocking spectacle of independence, or just lounging about at home. They're worked seamlessly from the bottom up in a silky, luxurious yarn; the seat is shaped with short rows for a flattering, comfortable fit, and flirty lace edges the cuffs.

Construction Techniques
The Parisian Delight bloomers are constructed using seamless knitting techniques worked from the bottom up, which eliminates the need for seaming and creates a smooth, professional finish. Each leg is knitted separately and then joined together during construction. The pattern incorporates short-row shaping at the seat to create a customized fit that follows the natural contours of the body. Crotch stitches are held and later joined using grafting, a technique that creates an invisible seam for a polished appearance. Drawstrings are incorporated at both the waist and just below the knees to allow for adjustable fit and styling options.
Stitches and Stitch Patterns
The primary stitch pattern used throughout the Parisian Delight is Stockinette Stitch, which creates a smooth, classic fabric with a refined appearance. The gauge for this pattern is 26 stitches and 33 rows over 4 inches (10 cm) in Stockinette Stitch, measured after blocking to ensure accuracy.
Materials and Yarn Requirements
The Parisian Delight requires fingering weight yarn in quantities ranging from 905 yards (830 meters) for the smallest size to 3,505 yards (3,205 meters) for the largest size. The pattern is shown knitted in Hazel Knits Entice MCN, a premium blend consisting of 70% Merino wool, 20% cashmere, and 10% nylon. This fiber content provides warmth, softness, and durability. The yardage per skein is 400 yards (366 meters) at 115 grams, requiring between 3 and 9 skeins depending on the chosen size. The pattern sample is photographed in the color Frost.
Skill Level
This pattern is rated as advanced difficulty, making it suitable for experienced knitters who are comfortable with seamless construction, short-row shaping, and grafting techniques. The combination of these advanced techniques creates a professionally finished garment with an excellent fit.
