My tester, Lynn Moxom, used a 4mm hook (US = G/6, UK = 8), and the measurements with the recommended yarn were 122 cm (48”) in width and 183 cm (72”) in height without a border, which can work for a Throw blanket.
The amount of yarn used for this pattern by my tester without the border was: 1885 meters/2062 yards (colour White) and 2375 meters/ 2598 yards (colour Black).
