Product Description
This pattern is also available as part of my new e-book [Espiral][1]: a progressive Eco-friendly e-book with 5 original shawl designs + 1 bonus pattern (also a shawl design).
Outonal is an unconventional design - an asymmetrical and seamless shawl, knitted bias in one piece. The main body is worked in garter with a lace edging resembling leaves and berries. It starts with a few stitches that gradually increase in number and when you achieve the desired length, a knitted-on border is attached. As you can see for the photos both its lines and colors aren’t, intentionally, very “matchy matchy”.
Size is easily customizable and due to the pattern’s simplicity/ flexibility any weight yarn of your choice, both solid or variegated, works well. As shown used 401.3m (438.9 yds) of Noro Kureyon Sock (fingering weight yarn).
More information:Materials: 401.3 – 461.4 m (438.9 – 504.7 yds) of fingering yarn; US 4 - 3.5 mm circular needles, tapestry needle; pins
