Oakie the armadillo

With this very easy pattern, you can make a very rugged but cuddly sitting armadillo. With basic crochet skills you will be able to make this animal.

Size: 5.5 inch / 14 cm sitting when made with Istex Lett Lopi and hook E / 3,5 mm.

The instructions are written in US crochet terms. The pattern contains a list of materials, tools and accessories needed. Brand and colour numbers of the needed yarn. A clear and colour coded description of how to crochet and assemble the animal. Pictures and illustrations to help getting everything right.

Materials: for this armadillo you'll need worsted weight yarn and an E US/3.5 mm crochet hook. You'll need two colours of yarn: camel (1/3 of a 100 yard skein) and murky brown (1/8). The quantities are estimates. For the eyes I've used 7 mm animal eyes. You will also need fibrefill and pellets for a bit of extra weight in the body (I use Hama beads). Lopi colour numbers: 1400, 1420.
