Nori Sweater - knitting pattern

Nori is a loose-fitting turtleneck sweater with Japanese shoulders, it is decorated with an aran print around the yoke and elongated cuffs. Top of the yoke and turtleneck are worked in twisted rib, main body – in spaced seed stitch. Original design uses two colors (hem, cuffs, yoke and neckband in a contrasting color), but you can knit it in a single color.

The sweater is worked bottom-up, first Main Body in the round up to the armholes, then Back and Front flat separately. After seaming live shoulder stitches of the Front to the bound off Back, move on to sleeves. They are also knit in the round up to the armhole, then the sleeve caps are finished flat and the sleeves are seamed onto the body. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neck opening to work the turtleneck.
