No-Flop Flip-Top Mittens

I love flip-top mittens, but not the way floppy tops need to be tacked down with a button or velcro. This mitten is different! Turn this top inside out and it fits snug to the back of the hand, providing a look similar to a fingerless mitten. This design also provides a clear back area, allowing a cable or lace panel to run the length of the hand without a break.

The pattern is written for Magic Loop, but full charts are provided for dpn knitters to divide their stitches if desired. Four sizes are included, with separate written instructions and charts for each size. Just print the size pattern you'll be using.

This pattern is versatile and can provide mittens for your entire family. The instructions are for worsted yarns, but can be adapted to any suitable yarn from sport to bulky weights. A chart shows which size to follow based on your stockinette gauge. The instructions are for a Wheat Ear Cable, but 5 cable and 3 lace options are also included. Plus there are gift tags to print!
