Nenúfar is a triangular shawl knitted bottom-up with a lace stitch resembling water lilies. It starts with a few stitches and gradually increases size. The lace pattern is combined with a stockinette middle section creating elegant diagonal lines. This pattern offers some design options - if may work an entirely lace shawl by repeating one of the the charts until you get the desired size. As shown has a stockinette insertion with wide lace borders followed by a lace motif knitted in the middle. The borders are worked in true lace adding interest to this shawl easily customizable by changing the number of pattern repeats.
