Mrs. Mumpitz convertible mitts with thumb flap

PATTERN AVAILABLE IN ENGLISH AND GERMAN

These convertible mittens are gorgeously warm and cozy. Practical finger and thumb flaps keep your hands warm but usable. No need for taking off your gloves while looking for your keys or finetuning your camera! This pattern is great for advanced knitters and beginners with a little more experience.

Techniques used are

• knit in the round
• simple increases (left and right leaning)
• picking up stitches
• loose bind off

What you need:

• Yarn: Approx. 60-70g (150/50g) in your favourite colour. (Gauge: 16-20st on 10cm)
• Needles: 5dpn, size as indicated on the yarn, but no bigger than 3,5mm (I used 3mm Needles and Lana Grossa Cinque Alto). Needle sizes bigger than 3.5mm will result in bigger gloves.
