Mini Santa Hat

Ho Ho Ho! This adorable little hat can be used as a tree decoration, festive bottle topper or you could string a few together for some mini-hat bunting!

Skills / Techniques Used: Knitting in the round on double pointed needles, increases, decreases

Materials

For each mini hat you will need:

Yarn A - 6g / 0.2oz, 9yd / 8m of chunky yarn for the brim and bobble colour. The yarn used in the pattern picture is Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky, 100% Acrylic, 100g / 3.5oz, 149yd / 136m per ball, in Paper White

Yarn B – 7g / 0.3oz, 10.5yd / 9.5m of chunky yarn in a contrast colour for the main body of the hat. The yarn used in the pattern picture is Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky, 100% Acrylic, 100g / 3.5oz, 149yd / 136m per ball, in Rose Red

A set of 4-5 x US size 6 / 4mm double pointed needles

Gauge

Gauge is not vital to the Mini Santa Hat but as a guideline the yarn should knit to 20 stitches and 28 rows to 4” / 10cm in stockinette stitch after blocking
