Mardi Gras Shawlette

This pattern uses 4 colors of fingering wt yarn (makes great stash buster). Color A (edging) = Approx 125 yards, Color B and C (stripes) each aprox 70 yards and Color D (body of shawlette) approx 160 yards variegated yarn. Uses US #3 (3.25mm) and US #4 (3.5mm) needles.

The edging is knit lengthwise, then the first stripe is picked up along the top edge. Body of shawl uses short rows to create crescent shape.

Gauge isn't critical, but I wouldn't go higher than sport weight yarn - would also go to size 4 and 5 needles if using sport weight yarn.
