It has a really classy hip look. This one is very special to me. It was designed for my 17 year old son who has very clean but contemporary taste for fashion hence the slight slouch. Add more rows of knitting to your hat if you like yours funky.
The cables are easy to do with a two stitch technique. If you're not comfortable with cables just eliminate that part of the technique and the hat will just be stripes.
