So much color, so little work! One color-changing yarn used with a contrasting solid makes it look like you fussed and fiddled. Not so!

These socks were inspired by a Turkish sock stitch pattern. However, they sport the more-familiar structure of a Western-style top-down sock (rather than a Turkish structure).

The heel is reinforced with color, and starts with a heel flap. A Dutch heel turn is used to maximize the beauty of the checkerboard patterning all the way to the end of the heel.

This is a perfect pattern for those wanting to try stranded colorwork! Even within the colorful patterning on the leg, 2 out of 5 of the pattern rounds require just a single color (think of those rounds as "vacations" if you wish).
