The cardigan is a classic gender neutral style which works in a lot of different yarns. It’s easy to layer and works for indoor and outdoor as well. The pockets are a must have for the little treasure hunting kids. The cardigan is worked seamlessly top down in stitch pattern. Start at the top in stitch pattern and work raglan / yoke increases as well as increases for the front neckline shape at the same time. Separate Body and sleeves by putting sleeve stitches on separate holders, continue the body including setup for pockets, and finish body with 2x2 rib. Sleeves are worked in rounds, finished with 2x2 rib. You pick up stiches for the button bands and work them in 2x2 rib. The pocket bags are worked with an afterthought pocket technique (photos are shown).
