Lilly and May dolls

Lilly and May are best friends—delightful dress-up dolls just the right size to become a special child's treasured companion.

Lilly wears a two-tone dress with a playful bobble knot detail on the skirt, while May has a knitted-in T-shirt and a textured pinafore dress. (And yes, both dolls are wearing their own comfy knickers!)

Their knitted hair, finished with matching bows, is simple to make—and always stays tidy, no matter how many adventures they have!

Both the dolls and their outfits are knitted flat on standard straight needles and then seamed. You’ll use basic stitches throughout, working the dolls from the head down, and adding the arms and hair at the end for that personal handmade touch.

Lilly’s dress features a charming knot stitch, which might challenge adventurous beginners—but don’t worry, the stocking stitch version is just as lovely and much simpler. The pinafore dress uses only knit and purl stitches, and you’ll also find a plain version included.
