Landskein Necklace

Landskein Necklace features a motif I developed for a shawl, and which I very much love. The motif I call Landskein is based on the word Landskein, which refers to the way layers of horizon lines braid together on hazy days, and which can often be seen when viewing distant and layered mountain ranges. The word Landskein, and many other words that describe nature and landscape, was recently popularised by Robert MacFarlane in an attempt to highlight the importance of re-wilding our language, and re-forging our connection with nature. I can only hope this simple garment with its landskein lace necklace appeals to your visual sensibilities and goes a little way to re-connect you with a love for, and appreciation of, natural places.
