Product Description
If you love knitting intricate cables, you’ll love knitting this scarf. This scarf if comprised of an intricate cable stitch that comes to us from Russian. This scarf is not for the “feint of heart”. Although the scarf is knitted with sport weight yarn, requiring between 600 and 800 yards, the turtleneck section will keep you warm even on the coldest of day. It is knit on a size #4 (U.S.) needle.
This would make an incredible holiday gift either for a person special to you…or for yourself.
The stitch is charted only for this pattern.
Skill Level: Intermediate - Intermediate + (assuming a very good working knowledge of cabling.)
There are also instructions for an optional crocheted border, should you want it edged.
You can also make the scarf without the turtleneck section by just continuing the stitch pattern for the desired length.
Any sport weight yarn yielding 6 sts/inch (in stockinette stitch) will work for this pattern.
No crochet hooks are needed if you decide not to make the edging.
