Knitted/Felted Elephant

This little elephant is first knitted in the round on size US 8 double-pointed needles, then felted in the washing machine. I used Berrocco Peruvia yarn, but any yarn that felts well will work fine. I came so close to the end of my skein, that I was afraid I'd run out. Therefore, I highly recommend purchasing two skeins just to be on the safe side. Those ears take up a lot of yarn! As with all my knitted/felted toys, they are not suitable for infants or toddlers, but more for the school-aged, older child. They have moveable, string-jointed limbs. Directions are given for using glass eyes, but you could embroider the eyes, instead. The pattern is 8 pages.
