Modern and practical baby shoes knit in double knit weight yarn that will look great on either a boy or a girl. They are knitted flat, entirely in garter stitch, on two needles and are extremely quick and EASY to make.
The pattern gives instructions for 5 sizes of shoe.
Please be aware that there is no grip on the soles so they are only suitable for pre-walking babies.
The Keelan is a pair of baby booties designed as simple, unisex shoes suitable for both boys and girls. These knitted baby shoes feature a modern wide strap across the foot that provides secure fastening to keep the shoes on active infants. The design comes in multiple sizes to accommodate growing babies, with yardage requirements ranging from 38 to 55 metres depending on the size selected.
This beginner-level knitting project uses fundamental knitting techniques appropriate for those new to the craft. The pattern incorporates basic stitch manipulations including knit stitches, yarn overs for shaping, and decreases to form the shoe structure. Additional materials include two 18mm (3/4 inch) buttons for fastening the wide strap and a tapestry or darning needle for weaving in ends and finishing seams.

These are just the cutest baby shoes and are so quick and easy to knit! I knit baby clothes as a hobby and sell my garments at craft fairs; I made ten pairs of these little shoes in various colours for my last fair and sold six - they were very popular on the day. I now have them on my listings on several on-line selling platforms where they are fast becoming favourite items. Love them!
Poor pattern and there is no way the baby shoes would fit a baby....huge. I followed the pattern with correct size yarn, needles, etc.
