Product Description
JOHNNY FINGERLESS GLOVES
The Johnny Collection was inspired by my little brother. He wanted something stylish, modern, warm, and most importantly, something a guy would want to wear! With hook in hand, I designed a collection of patterns to mix and match, creating a winter wardrobe of items that would be both fun to make, and enjoyable to wear!
This pattern includes instructions for the gloves in sizes Toddler thru Adult Large as well as both photo and video tutorials to help with any questions you may have.
Materials needed: 50-150 yds in 3 to 4 colors of worsted weight #4 yarn (I used Vanna's Choice), an I (5.5mm) hook, and a tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
All of my patterns have been tested by several accomplished pattern testers and designers to ensure that you are getting a pattern free of mistakes and is easy to follow.
Please note that all my patterns are written in standard american terms.

Crochet Techniques and Stitches
The Johnny Fingerless Gloves project utilizes fundamental crochet techniques suitable for intermediate-level crafters. The pattern employs several essential stitches to construct the gloves:
- Single Crochet (sc): The primary stitch used throughout the pattern for creating a tight, durable fabric
- Half Double Crochet (hdc): Used to add texture and variation to the design
- Single Crochet 2 Together (sc2tog): A decrease technique for shaping and fitting the gloves to the hand
- Half Double Crochet 2 Together (hdc2tog): An alternative decrease method for tailoring the fit
- Slip Stitch (slst): Used for joining rounds and finishing edges
- Chain (ch): The foundation stitch for beginning the project
- Skip (sk): Technique for creating openings and shaping the glove structure
Materials Required
Creating the Johnny Fingerless Gloves requires minimal materials, making this an economical project for crafters:
- Yarn: Worsted Weight (#4) yarn such as Vanna's Choice, with four color options available for creating multicolor designs
- Hook: Size I hook (5.5mm) for working with the worsted weight yarn
Gauge and Pattern Notes
The pattern establishes a gauge of 7 single crochet stitches equaling 2 inches, which is essential for achieving the correct sizing. Actual measurements may vary slightly depending on individual crochet tension and yarn characteristics.
