In Stitches mitts

In Stitches is an easy but satisfying pattern for a pair of slipped stitch colourwork fingerless mitts. The mitts are worked in the round using either dpns or magic loop. The colourwork pattern is easy to learn and would be ideal for someone who wants to try colourwork for the first time as you only work with one colour per round.

The mitts have an afterthought thumb - a link to a tutorial is included in the pattern.

This would be a great pattern for using up small amounts of different coloured DK or sport weight yarn from your stash. You can use as much or as little contrast colour as you like - one, two, three or even 6 different colours!

Measuring for size: measure around the widest part of your hand excluding thumb and add 1.25cm/0.5” positive ease. Length: 17cm/6.75”. If you would like a longer length, just add an extra colourwork section. (This will affect your yardage requirements).
