H is for Hippopotamus

Hippos (the real ones) kill more than 2,000 people a year. Their roly-poly exterior is how they lure their victims. The knit version is a much safer alternative if you need a cuddle.

Most of the bulky yarns will yield a 15” hippo. You’ll need to be able to be able to work in the round on double pointed needles (Magic Loop is fine if you know what you're doing), and enough knitting knowledge to increase, decrease, graft (kitchener). The most complicated thing about this pattern is the nose bobbles and there are only two of those. There is a single short row on the ears. It's not enough to worry about, I mention it only in the interest of full disclosure. Seriously, I'm thinking of going back to delete the last couple sentences.
