Grace Baby Shoe

Think dappled sunlight, wildflower meadows, picnic blankets and rosy-cheeked babies. This was the inspiration behind these beautiful stay-on baby shoes. They are a lightweight summer shoe that feels like a sock but fits like a shoe. They slip on easily then the structured, elasticated ankle band keeps them on, while still being flexible and comfy. The Grace baby shoe is a relaxing, speedy knit with minimal finishing, they make a perfect baby gift.

The construction method is similar to knitting a sock, techniques used are - provisional cast-on, joining together 2 fabrics, knitting in the round, short rows to turn a heel and Kitchener stitch. Circular needles or double-pointed needles may be used, however as the item is small, when using circular needles it will be best to use the 'Magic loop method'.
