Flower Power mosaic square - Tranquil Tulips

This pattern is for an overlay mosaic crochet square that can be used in other types of projects, such as blankets, pillows, tote bags, table mats, etc.

Any yarn or hook will work, depending on the desired size of the finished square. I used yarn weight of 4 with a 5.5 hook, which creates a square of 13.5” x 13”.

You will need 3 colors of yarn - one for the background, another for the border & leaves, and then the tulip color, however you could do the tulips in multiple colors using my color-switching techniques that I describe in the written instructions as well as my youtube videos, linked in the pattern.

This is a great way to use up scraps! For projects using all 3 colors, you will need approximately 2 oz of the background color, 1-1.5 oz of green .5-1 oz of the tulip color (I used pink), when using a worsted or aran (wt 4) type of yarn.
