Feather Islands

Sock inspired by the novel Fjäderholmarna (Swedish for Feather Islands) by Zacharias Topelius.

For there is something unique and secretive about these Feather Islands. There is no helmsman so confident and knowledgeable, even if he has sailed around the world, that in the middle of the bright day, when the sun is shining and people and animals work in full force, he can find these islands. But if he is tired from work and wake, he makes his wish, he lies still in his yawl and lets the slow current move where it wants, then he will surely get there as if he steered after compass and nautical chart. For you come to Feather Islands through three unfathomable waterways, which are not dotted on any nautical chart, and the Hard works canal, Healths fjord and Good consciences calm haven.
