Elf Hat and Vest for Monsters

Half the fun of collecting toys is dressing them up in tiny clothes! These elfin hat and vest sets work up quickly and make great gifts for toy collectors. The vest is knit flat in one piece, and the hat is made in two pieces and sewn together at the seams, with a hole at the top for the keychain. They fit the most common types of plush keychains and would work for many other plushies of a similar size. You can use any kind of light or DK weight yarn, but my favoritefor these is Lion Brand Bonbons; one hat and vest set uses two mini skeins.
