Drawn Convertible Mitts

Drawstring convertible mittens will solve all your problems. Well, okay... not really, but they will solve all your mitten problems. With the top ribbing folded down, you've got fingerless mitts. With the ribbing up and the drawstring tied tight: you've got mittens, with none of the palm bulk, buttons, or drafts that come with fold-over-top style convertible mitts. Plus, you've got a bow. The thumb is a tube of ribbing that can be folded up or down. Great for commutes, chores, an evening out, or any time you need some mitten versatility.

The mitt features a horizontal stripe pattern in 2 colors of aran weight yarn. Some strategically placed slipped stitches form vertical stripes outlining the gusset and sides of the mitt. This is decorative, but also sneakily obscures the color jog at the start of each round that comes with knitting stripes in the round. Pattern includes complete written directions and charts of the palm and thumb gusset for each size.
