Dragonscale Hat

Dragon scale hat made with ribbed hdc stitches and classic crocodile stitch. A prefect match to my Dragon Scale Gloves and Ear Warmer/Neck Warmer patterns.

This pattern makes a medium adult hat for me, however if you find it too small or too large for you, it can be adjusted by going up or down a hook size respectively. It really depends on your own personal tension so it can help to try your hat on as you work. Crocodile stitch is worked using a 6 stitch repeat so you can also go up or down a size by increasing the first row stitch count by 6 or reducing it by 6. This will change how to make the crown reduction for your hat. I have added optional crown reductions for 1 repeat larger and 1 repeat smaller at the end of the instructions. If you decide to use this method to change the size, please refer to these from Row 20 of the main pattern.
