Product Description

I love to knit for babies, and I particularly love to gift items made from cotton yarn.

When MillaMia bought out their ‘Naturally Soft Cotton’ yarn, I knew it would become a favourite.

Cotton is so versatile, comes in fabulous colours and can literally be tossed into the washing machine.

I just knitted a blanket for a first time mother. She lives on a dairy farm in New Zealand and I said I hoped that her daughter would drag her ‘blankie’ all around the farm. It wasn’t to be treated as a precious, but rather to be enjoyed, and to be used until it was well and truly worn out.

This cable baby blanket design uses two strands of yarn, so knits up quite quickly. Being made with two strands means you can experiment with lots of colour combinations too.

This blanket is the perfect size for a pram or cot, as a lap blanket for adults, and even for pets.

I knitted the blanket in Baby Elephant (Grey) and have made samples from Baby Blue, Baby Blue/White, White, English Rose/White and
