This shrug is worked in two equal pieces and seamed together. It can be customized to fit your desired shoulder width to give you a fit that is comfortable for you. There is also 3" / 8 cm of positive ease built in to make the sleeves comfortable and airy.

This shrug came about because I wanted something I could wear to just cover my shoulders. I don't always want a full sweater, but do want to have my shoulders covered. This works great for tank top dresses on cool summer and fall evenings when the wind has just that little bit of bite. I'm also very wide in my shoulders, so I wanted something that could be customized for all shoulder widths, and didn't leave anyone in need of just settling for a size. The only sizes are for the upper arm measurements to give the knitter a cast on number. The rest can be fully customized for your personal needs and wants.
