What is Being Made

The Cosmos Infinity Scarf is a luxuriously textured, warm infinity scarf designed to make a major fashion statement while providing comfort during cold weather. This super bulky scarf is lusciously squishy and features an endless amount of texture. The finished scarf measures 8 inches by 60 inches before seaming and is intentionally designed to be paired with the Cosmos Beanie for a coordinated set.

Techniques and Construction Method

This scarf is worked flat using a modified Even Moss Stitch, which creates a distinctive ribbed texture throughout the piece. The modification technique involves working only in the back loops of stitches from prior rows following Row 1, which establishes the characteristic ribbing pattern. The scarf is then seamed to create the infinity loop. Crafters can customize the length by adding additional rows, which will also add ease to the fit when the scarf is doubled up. When planning modifications to the length, it is important to account for extra yardage requirements prior to beginning the project.
