Cookie's Cowl

Cookie's Cowl alternates reverse stockinette stitch with a slipped stitch column and a narrow eyelet column.  The combination of textures shows well when worked with a yarn that has good stitch definition. Once established, the pattern is easy to memorize.  This is an ideal project for a beginning lace knitter. The four-round pattern makes it simple to adjust the height of the cowl according to available yardage. Requires approximately 189 yards (173 m) of worsted weight yarn. Required skills: Binding off, Casting on,Decreasing, Knitting and purling in the round, Knitting eyelets, Slipping stitches.
