Classic Horror mosaic square - Invisible Man

This pattern is part of my Classic Horror Films series, to create an overlay mosaic crochet square that can be used in other types of projects, such as blankets, pillows, satchel bags, table mats, etc.

Please note: current PDF has chart only but will be updated at a later time with written row-by-row instructions.

Any yarn or hook will work, depending on the desired size of the finished square. I used yarn weight of 4 with a 5.5 hook, which creates a square of 13.5” x 13”.

To do the sample image, you will need 4 colors of yarn, all in the same yarn weight. The B rows (background & face) take approximately 2 oz total (100 yards), and the A rows (black outlines, hair, facial features) take slightly less than that amount. You will also need a few yards of white for the hat band.

This pattern has a few special angled stitches & mid-row color switching, all explained in the PDF. I have a helpful video linked in the pattern as well to show some of these methods.
