Christmas Tree Ornament Tiny Cardigan II

This pattern is for a 3-inch tall cardigan sweater with a diamond fair isle design intended to be used as a Christmas tree ornament.  It also makes a nice decoration for a Christmas present.  Or, you could make it in pink or pale blue and use it to decorate a baby shower gift.  You can use any fingering weight yarn, but my favorite is a merino/nylon blend (either Cascade or Knitpicks).  These yarns have a tight spin and work up tidy and smooth.  The little sweater hangs on the tree on its own little clothes hanger (easy to make using 18-gauge florist wire and florist tape) - directions included.  Check out all my free patterns for Christmas tree ornament sweaters - they are a good way to use up left over sock yarn.
