Christmas Kitten potholder

This is an original pattern for a colourful crocheted double thickness potholder with a cute Christmas kitten on the front. The reverse is plain green, and both thicknesses are joined by a double row of crochet in raffia and cream.

I have recommended 100% cotton yarn, making it safe to stand warm dishes on, and to protect your hands from burns. Measures 8" x 8" (20cm x 20cm)) plus the hanging loop at the top. Stitches used are slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, single crochet 2 together, surface slip stitch, long border stitch. Instructions for all stitches are included in the pattern together with photographs to help you along.
