Product Description

SEE NOTES BELOW. There are now 2 Versions included in this pattern.

(Fingering weight - DK/ Light worsted)

1st cousin to my recently released TINSELITIS shawl this 2/3 colour, triangular shawl, CHRISTMAS JOY is knit from the TOP down … achieved by casting on the highest number of stitches required, knitting a foundation row, and then working simple decreases on every row, all the way to the end.

You’re finished before you know it! There are 2, easy eyelet row variations used in the design, along with some very simple, textured rows. The pattern is clearly written, & all decreases are included in the row instructions. A link to a selection of YouTube tutorials on tassel making, is also provided in the pattern.

PLEASE NOTE … Version 2 (now also included in the pattern) is effectively a DK/Light Worsted weight option - knit using 2 strands of fingering/sport weight on a 5.5mm needle.Same stitch count on bigger needles, which also alters the sizing. (Full details provided in the pattern.)
