Chinese Lantern

This pattern uses only very basic stitches that a beginner can tackle so easily. The inflated calyx or lantern consists of 10 very short rows. Gauge is not applicable in this pattern, however you should crochet tightly in order that the fiber fill wont show between stitches.

It is best to make as much leaves and calyxes as you can, it would look more alive when it is bushier. Hence, get 2 balls of Turmeric and 3 balls of Hunter Green to make a lush Chinese Lantern.

Other than the threads, you will also need cloth stem wire and tarnish resistant wire, gauges are indicated in the pattern under Materials "other".
