I do like using Hobby Lobby 'I Love This Yarn' since it is machine washable/dryable and is very affordable; 7oz/199g/355 yards/325 meters. I have listed 9 skeins for this pattern but some areas use such small amounts perhaps some scrap yarn can be substituted - the beck, eyes and highlights. Overall, this blanket is very cost effective.
