Product Description
Charles the chick has been busy trying on different eggs, ready for Easter. I’ve made Charles using DK weight yarn, but he looks good in Aran too (with slightly larger safety eyes and a 4mm hook) - it’s a great project for stash busting and is a pretty quick make. He sits just under 6 inches tall (when made with recommended materials).
The pattern uses US terminology (UK terminology is also available as a separate listing) and can be downloaded after purchase. It is clear to follow with detailed instructions and lots of pictures for step by step making and assembly. There are also picture instructions for colour change and invisible finish. I have made Charles using Stylecraft Special DK (DK weight yarn) - details in pattern
The following stitches/techniques are used in this pattern: magic ring or chain 2 to start, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, increase, decrease (sc2tog), invisible finish, (optional colour change for egg)
